- DOOM runs just as fast on Linux as well (even when you have background
- jobs). Granted, this is only because it's so popular that a port
- was made - you can't do this with descent or dark forces, etc.
- (although those do work with os2) Point being, the OS doesn't
- prevent that sort of stuff either. The thinking that you must have
- bare hardware access to do this sort of stuff is myth.
